Transmission shakes

I was driven home from work today and noticed a vibration in the shifter and when I slowed down my shifter was shaking bad bout an inch from side to side when in gear at slow speeds it has never done this before and I don't have a clue what it could be, I appreciate the help..

Ok I think I need a tran. Drop just from looking at old threads I have 1.75 body lift and 1.75 suspension

Maybe the bushings are bad? Or the mounts? I don't even know if these trannies use buhing on the shift lever.

No, you shouldn't need a transfer case drop with that little bit of lift.

Did it have the lift before the shake started? I'd look at the motor mounts and transmission mounts, as well as inspect all the ujoints.

Yeah I've had the lift since nov and the shake just started but I also here something like a grinding noise in the front differential. I just did the u-joints in nov also could one be bad already?

Wow two of my 3 mo old u-joints are bad I have not even got been off road. You were right (bounty hunter) thanks I would never looked at them this soon
