transmission question

Ok so i was under my jeep bleeding the lines from my master cylinder to my clutch and if my haynes manual is to trusted i think i have an ax-15 transmission behind my 4 cylinder. Just wanted to check with u guys to see if there could be any truth to this and if so would i be able to set in a 6 cylinder without having to change everything from transmission back (i have a dana35 in the rear but am lookin to investing in a 44)? i found a motor for 700 with only 51,000 miles on it and i'd go by it monday if i didn't have to get a whole new transmission too

if you have the 2.5 liter engine, its the little weak ax5 transmission...and if you do go a 4.0 6 cylinder you will have to replace the transmission and possible the transfer case because of the ax15 is a 23 spline output and the ax5 is the 21 spline...so...yeah...you gotta change alot..

dang i guess this manual was wrong then... o well it'll give me more opportunities to upgrade i guess
