trailjeep New member Apr 21, 2010 #2 They should both have the NP 321 transfer case from the factory. You should only use ATF.

phall92139 New member Apr 23, 2010 #5 Ditto on the Automatic Trans Fluid. Synthetic is IMO a better choice, albeit more expensive but it should also last longer before it breaks down. I belive the NP231 should take 3.2 pints.
