trans qeustion.

I just bought a 89 Jeep wrangler 4 cylinder. I couldn't find anything on the trans and transfer case. I was wondering what kind it has or what kind they put in them. It does have a Dana 30 front and Dana 35 rear.

I have the same year with engine and what use to be transmission and TC. Your transmission is the AX-5 and the TC is the NP (New Processes) 231. Yes you are correct about the axles, with the D30 in the front and the D35 in the back.
