TJ tub on a CJ7 Chassis?

First, thanks to all you guys that provided input to my question of putting an early CJ5 tub on my CJ7 chassis.

Recently, a guy offered to give me a free TJ tub. He didnt know if it would fit a CJ7 chassis, so Im coming back to you guys for any insight you might have on this swap.

Find a 87-95 YJ tube and bolt it on. just a few easy things to move.
But it's the same tub as a CJ7.

Should be doable... We are currently putting a CJ tub on a TJ chassis, you have to move a number of the body mounts, but it is doable.

Sell it and get a real tub.

I imagine that by the time you do alot of work getting everything to fit you'll end up with something not nearly as strong as a $5000 TJ but looks exactly the same.

I can see the point of putting a CJ tub on a TJ frame (CJs look cool and are unique), but putting an average TJ tub on a weaker CJ frame seems like a lot of work for little return to me.

I say sell the CJ frame and TJ tub and just get a TJ if that's what you want.

Oh, forgot to mention - I did put a YJ tub on my CJ frame back in the day (YJs were galvanized, CJ weren't). This was a pretty good swap - from the windshield back they look the same, except for the tailgate. Also, all but two body mounts line up. You could check into doing that
