TJ Lift Options & Help

1069482

Hey folks,

Well, I'm finally looking into getting a long wanted lift kit for my 1999 TJ. As it sits now, it is a stock SE (auto). I'm looking to go 4" and go with 33" BFG A/T's. Now here's my little problem. What lift kit to get? To be honest, I'm not looking to spend millions, as I am just a student and am lacking in cash. I'd like a lift that both performs well on and off road, yet is at a good price.

What would you recommend to go with? With the 4" lift, what other parts will be needed? Again, I have little money, I know that isn't the best thing to lack when it comes to build'in up a Jeep, but I am forced (lol).

Also would like to know how hard it is to install a lift kit...

See ya on the trails!

I am a YJ guy so the TJ is not my deal, but I have read a bunch of stuff here. Teraflex seems to be the word that comes up the most from the folks in the know. I know how it is to be short on the mod money but the only word of good advice is what i live by. Do nothing till you can do it right. It is no bargan to do things twice. Spacers seem to be real popular too. Tug[addsig]

Well you got two options the way I see it do the right thing and do the now thing....for example you could go skyjacker 4" Value Flex and spend about 1000.00 and be mad a few months down the road or make a few small scrifices and go with the TERAFLEX 4" Long Arm and spend 1500.00 and be a whole lot happier but I could be wrong but that is what i would do !!! JUST a Thought hope it helps..... :-D [addsig]
