Got some 31x10.5's on my TJ and the say cold 80 psi max
so how much air for regular street to and from work around town air pressure do I need to put in these things?

Thanks

Most tire dealers put them around 35 PSI. The small Jeeps are light. I have 35 inch tires on my Jeep and 35 PSI is too high. I run them at 25 PSI on the street and 15 PSI offroad. You could do the chalk test - draw a chalk line across the tire tread. drive a short distance and check the line. You want the chalk line to wear off evenly. If the line wears off in the middle the pressure is too high - wears off on the sides the pressure is too low. You want an even foot print across the tread.

To get a good footprint you'll probably end up with different pressures front to back. Side to side should be matched for proper traction. On my Jeep (tall skinny load range E tires, max PSI 80) I have the fronts at around 35 and the rears at around 28. My wife's car has the fronts at 44(max) and the rears at 36. I look for a nice small but FULL width contact patch. Just don't forget to readjust when you rotate. Air down for better grip off road. Best of luck - John
