31"s will fit on stock, for 35"s you'll want atleast 5.5" of lift, or with 4.5" of suspension lift and a 1" body lift you can fit 36"s, 37"s you might have some rubbing with 6", but some extended bump stops would fix that, or goto 7" of lift

If you are gunna be wheelin' you need MINIMUM of 6" for 35's...if you get just 5.5 then you won't have very much flew room at all. Put a 3 inch body lift of that and you could get 36 or 37's. The problem with tj's is that a 6" lift is exppppppennnisve....for a 6" suspension lift it is gunna atleast run you 2k, and $89 for a 3 inch body. Any lift of 6 inches or more and you are gunna need a slip yoke eliminator and an extended drive shaft which together will be about 450. If you aren't planning on spending 3k on a lift and tires for a tj then you need to go with something smaller than 35's. Lifts under 6 inches are A LOT cheaper....as in atleast half the cost....so 33's might be better ifyou don't want to spend a fortune.[addsig]

4" suspension lift, 1 3/4" coil spring spacers, 1" body lift and 35's. Also slip yoke eliminator.[addsig]

Don't forget about gears...and possible extending of the drive shafts..."A word of wisdom..." The taller you go, obviously the more equipment/ expense your going to get into. I have seen a lot done with just 33's when it comes to extreme. My opinion, stay with 33's, buy a nice quality lift with the money saved from 35's, put some good gears in it, and make sure the drive lines are covered well. (Driveshafts/slip yoke kit.)[addsig]

Thanks everyone for the response. Very good news to hear about the 35's. There seems to be a huge jump from 33's to 35's which

I cant handle. So whats the best, meanest setup for 33's? I saw a 2000 sport with 33's 4 inch suspension lift, 15x10 wheels with 4.75" offset, wrapped with 33x12.50x15 TSL's. Opinions needed! Also a safety thought...will the 4.75" offset cause any problems? Should I go wider to 33x14.50.15 with 15x12 rims? rubbing? Thanks. Scott, the new guy.[addsig]

With a 4 inch and 33's you should be just fine. Make sure that you stick with the 15X10's with that offset is perfect combo.

I ran into a problem with my CJ with its 2.5 inch lift. Had the 33's with 15X10. Went to a 15X8 and suddenly the 33's started to rub bad on the inside side fender wells. I could even go up a street curb without rubbing. (Hence the reason I am with 32's now.) My suggestion though is to deffinetly stick with the 15X10's and be nice to the drivetrain. Go to wide on the rims and your going to stress all kinds of things. Sometime later in life you save some more money for more modifications and you can always go bigger with the tires.[addsig]

Awesome advice. Is there really going to be a lot of worries when puttin on 15x12.50 with 14.50 wheels in opposed to the 10" wide wheels? If so what kind of problems could happen??? Thanks a bunch. Scott[addsig]
