strange movement { Transmission }

I have a 91 yj,2.5 engine,3"lift,33x12.5tires,5 speed. I havent had any problem with this jeep, but I noticed that in 4 low,going in reverse,the whole transmission and shift lever tilts towards the driver. What should I look for ,as to a potential problem? jeep seems to run fine , I just noticed that issue. thanks

Check the mounts.

Motor mounts in particular, as well as the transmission mount and torque bushing next to the transmission mount.

Thanks, Ill check that out later this week. Now, I imagine that I have to take the skid plate off to check those mounts. Is the transmission secured to the skid plate, where as,when I lossen the skid plate,the transmission well drop also?

is the transmission pre op or post op.. Might explain the strange movement.

Yes, the transmission will come down with the skid if not properly supported.

You might be able to inspect the transmission mount with a prybar and a flashlight, without dropping the skid.

yeah, i would check the motor and transfer case mounts.
