sweetpeet New member Aug 13, 2009 #1 I have a 1974 jeep CJ5 with a 304 v8. everything runs perfectly on it except for the speedometer. the speedometer goes to 50mph sometimes 60mph and falls rapidly down to 0mph. does anyone know it is doing that and how I fix it?

SteelHeadz Super Moderator Aug 13, 2009 #2 Check the cable. It's either broken or stripped on the ends. Also check the mating end on the speedometer and t.case side.
