Seating space

For those of you with the older swb jeeps like my 72, what have you done if anything about the amount of space in the drivers seat? I'm not an overly large guy by any means, by I could handle to loose a few pounds if you know what I mean. When I go to get in the jeep it is a little difficult with the larger steering wheel and the short wheel base. I am going to put on a smaller steering wheel as soon as I hook in the power steering, but are there any other options for the older jeeps like tilt steering or a slightly shorter steering column?

I think that Grant offers a quick disconnect for their steering wheels, you could put one of those on when you get a new wheel and then when you go to get in and out just pop off the wheel. [addsig]
