I have an 86 CJ7 258 w/ Weber Carbs 32/36 and MSD Ignition. Just to get it runnning I removed/plugged all the vacuum hoses and control. I get a bit of hestitation and backfire at this point and the plugs indicate I am running rich. Do I need to worry about this because it will change when I add the vacuum back in? Is there minimum vacuum I should add to test it. I don't need to smog it, but I would like no hesitation or backfire. Suggestions?
