Rough Country Question

I have spent the last several days installing the RC 3" lift on my 95 YJ. so far so good until today when I went to install the Rear Track bar lowering bracket. It went on fine though the track bar did not match up to the holes. It doesnt allow enough space to drill new ones either. Has anyone else ran across this problem? Do I need the rear track bar? I left it off for now to see what kind of response I would get. My kids ride with me sometimes so I dont want it to be unsafe.

Also, what is the best and cheapest place to get extended brake lines. Mine reach though Im not going to do any serious off roading until I get some.

Thanks for your help. Gonna try and finish tomorrow.

You don't really need the rear track bar. In fact, removing it will increase your articulation significantly. As far as saftey goes, just slow down in the corners... you will notice some body roll. But because you have more articulation, you're right, you would want some longer brake lines before going to "stretch your new legs."

Thanks for the quick response. I have always heard the rear track bar was "unnecessary" though I just wanted to hear it from someone else. As far as the corners go, its a 2.5 with 31's - she doesnt really go that fast anyways. Does anyone know where to get the brake lines. Pro-comp is 109.00 - is this a good deal?

I removed mine, and there's no difference that I noticed. Yank it!

You can relocate the stock hard brake line to the bottom of the frame, this should give you the extra length you need. One place was selling short extensions, anybody have a link?
