Roll Cage Extensions

Jeepers...

I have an 85 CJ7 I bought used. It has what appears to be a YJ family style room bar. I purchased some roll bars extensions that would run from the windshield back to the roll bar. Good fit at the bar...not so good at the windshield. Any thoughts? Pics attached...

It looks like you might need to do some windshield end custom fabrication. A weld shop should be able to cut the ends and then weld on a bracket that fits the windshield.

I would think the dimensions of the windshield and cab area are the same as a YJ. Measure a YJ windshield frame and check for any differences.

Smittybuilt offers a weld-in front cage kit for CJ-7's for under $200, it's what I run in my YJ. Consists of a hoop from the floorboard up over the windshield down to the other floorboard, and two spreader bars to the main cage. I added a dash bar.

I think that's the route I'm going to take. It's a good look and I'd assume its a safer option as well. Thanks BH...always appreciate the help!
