rocky mountain question

I just bought an 05 Wrangler X. It does not have the X logo on it. But on the passenger side it has a Rocky Mountain emblem. So is it a RM or an X? Vin Decoder says X.

RM's had a Dana 44. That option was not available on the X. But I would tend to go with the VIN if you have used more than 1 decoder to check. The PO could have liked the emblem. I always wanted a trail rated badge for my 89 Cherokee,

The Jeep Wrangler Rocky Mountain Edition is based on the X package. Equipped with a manual transmission, the MSRP is $23,025; with the automatic transmission, $23,850. Features include:
Color-keyed fender flares15" Ravine aluminum wheels
30" x 9.5" Goodyear Wrangler OWL tires
Dana 44 axle
Fog lamps
Unique center console accents
Unique premium two-tone seat with embroidered
Jeep logoAM/FM/CD with seven speakers
Unique Rocky Mountain Edition decal

The RME starts as an X model, then gets these items.

They only have the one Rocky mountain sticker (passenger side)

Thank you for the replies. Mine has the RM emblem on the passenger side along with the trail rated emblem two tone seats with jeep logo on them. So I will go with the X model. Thanks again.
