This is pretty close to where I live, so it's big news here. Orbital Sciences Corp was launching a rocket to the international space station when it exploded. It appears that no one was hurt - other that Orbital's stock price.

Yeah, that really sucks. Nasa should get back into the rocket business if you ask me. I wonder if the 40 year old engines they are using had anything to do with it. There were some local school kids that had an experiment on it that was supposed to go to the space station. They even traveled there to watch it take off. They were pretty upset to say the least.
