Reverse light

Okay, I'm just finishing up installng some thick diamond plate on my rear corners. As a result i had to take off the turn signals. (They were pretty much dead anyways)
Before i took them off, I already knew i had a problem with my reverse light, but i figured it was just the fact that they were rotted to hell, so i put on some new turn signal boxes.
When i started it up the other day, i saw that my reverse lights were still out.
I'm gonna have a look to see if i can track it down, i have a feeling that the wire coming out of my transmission is the culprit, but i have no idea where it actually IS on the transmission.
Could somebody pleeze tell me where to look to see where the reverse sensor wire is on the transmission?

Look for a plug in the side of the transmission with two wires coming out of it. That's how it is in the manual trannies I'm familiar with. This switch could be bad, or it could be a short in the wiring.

I bypassed the transmission and wired a switch between those two wires when the reverse switch went out in my old Peugeot transmission.

Just mount some real back up light on the puppy. Say something that will really give you some rear night vision like a single 150 watt flood or something. Switch it so you can use it when you want it. tug
