I'm sure it's been asked before on here but I Have not been able to find a post on it.
Does anyone run relays with their off road lights?
Neither set of my KC's came with relays.
When I put my fog lights on I used a relay.
Just curious.

I believe the last iv heard of it the answer was yes use a relay cause u can use smaller wires when snaking it through the cab and under the hood. I'll try and find the thread

the kc lights didn't come with one? man, walmart lights come with relays.

i think it depends on the wattage and the amount of amps they pull but most people say to use one

Use a relay. You could buy KC's with or without a relay. You could buy the relay and wiring separately. I like the KC wiring, it has all the correct wire gauge and connectors with weather protected ends.
The relay allows lower current on the switch on teh ign power. And the load could be wired to the battery allowing less voltage drop at the load. Less voltage drop means brighter lights.
