puking carberator

I have a 258 I6 with a carter carb it seems to like to puke gas from the vapor tub on top of carb any ideas on what would cause this its a new carb


I put old carb back on and it dont do it baffled on this one runs like crap cause carb is shot but it dont puke

new carb pukes like a faucet open full

help solve this weird mystery anyone

Maybe a stuck needle. If the float needle gets stuck open the fuel will continuosly pour into the bowl even after its full and therefore escape somewhere. Just a thoery. I would think it probbably was caused by getting banged around during shipping.

this is the third one ,think Im gona get money back and buy one else where

Doesn't take much grit to stick a float valve. Sometimes you disiodge some grit or other junk out of the lines during installation. One reason I always like to mount a filter close to the carb. Sometimes the grit comes with the carb and is already in the float bowl.
