hey guys,
ok well first off im young and dumb, ha ha ans i went out and bought a 15 inch subwoofer for my jeep and an amp to run it. well my friend and i hooked it up and it runs great and everything worked great. then i get home and let it sit for a little while and go down to turn on my lights and i have no dash lights. so i replaced the fuse that was blown and tried the lights again, it blew another fuse...then i tried to start my jeep and my gauges wont move. i dont get a battery reading, an oil pressure reading, and my rpm gauge wont move.

does anybody know what i did wrong or what i could have hurt? Or has anyone had this happen and how do you fix it?

Thanks guys

I would start checking the wiring from the area where the subwoofer was wired and installed. Look for a pinched or chaffed wire harness .

ok, i took the radio out and looked to see if when i put it back in, if i messed up some wires but couldnt see anything. and honestly i dont know how anything happened, cause when we finished hookin it up everything worked, then on the short (maybe 5 min.) ride home, and washing it in the driveway, my gauges and dash lights dont work

i got it, my dad and my uncle(hes not really my uncle just good friends so we call him that) figured it out. it was my roller switch/dimmer for my lights, the circuit was broken inside the box. dont know what would cause that but i got a new one coming, and the reason my gauges were not working was because the fuse was kinda corroded and didnt have good contact.

Thanks steelheadz for the thoughts.
