Powertop soft top

It'll have buyers. I won't be one, but I'm sure someone will. They wouldn't have produced it if no one had shown interest. It'll probably be those JK owners who don't do the Jeep wave.

I think it's pretty cool, but don't like the idea of no side windows.

Every time I fully remove or install my top I'm amazed at just how difficult it is, especially in cold weather. I'm also surprised that we can't make some windows that don't scratch just by looking at them. My TJ top is light years better than the old CJ snap tops from back in the day, but they've still got farther to go.

Oh yeah... I hated my CJ's top in the cold. My TJ was slightly better. The sailcloth came out a year after I bought my TJ. The JK top isn't too bad. The cold still affects it. I had to put up my rear window this morning because of the rain. I was cussing it out while pulling down on the bows to ease up on the zipper.

You're right about the side windows. I'm not a fan of that either, but, by the looks of it, it was a design necessity. It also looks like you lose the sunrider option. I must admit to liking that about my top.

Do you use the sunrider often? I only remember using mine twice. Once to try it out and once to show it to my family. It was okay, but I found that I would just as well like to drop the top, rather than open it up a bit.

I don't use it much during the warmer weather since the top and doors are off a majority of the time, but I use it a lot in the cooler weather. I always have my rear window open except when it's raining/sleeting/snowing, so it's easy just to fold back the sunrider at a traffic light and keep going. I get a nice air flow going through the cab area. I'm real particular with the top. If it's dirty, I won't drop it. I had the same top on my 98 for 12 years and it stayed in great shape, including the windows. Like Terry said, they scratch just by looking at 'em.

I'm also particular with my top. My sunrider doesn't layback neatly unless my side windows are out. Are you able to leave yours in when you use the sunrider?

Oh yeah. I'll pop the clamps at a light, lift it as I start moving, and the air will push the top into position. Then again, at 6'6", I have the reach to do that. If I fold it back while parked, I have to pull the top into a neater fold from the sides. The side windows are never an issue.
