Power brake upgrade on an 82 CJ7

My uncle has a CJ7 that is about an 80 or 82 and does not have power brakes. Does anyone have any advice on adding power brakes to this jeep?

For ease of instillation and availability of parts, try to get as many factory parts as possible! I am no brake expert for a 80-82 CJ but My best assumptions are that he will obviously need a power booster and a proportioning valve. New master cylinder might be needed but unsure. When I converted my manual drum's to power discs, Those are two things I had to add to the system (obviously the new discs, calipers, etc.. too) Good luck!

I would think all you need is the power booster unit and maybe a new pushrod of some kind. If you are leaving the brakes the same and Just want to add the power boost, I'd think you could reuse the M/C.

On my 79 all I needed to do is get a reman booster with MC and toss the old manualMC. There is a difference in the power MC and the manual one on my year. Call a Napa near you, about $200 after tax.
