J Jeepergeo Member Feb 11, 2011 #4 Check for a good ground (secured tight to bumper with good metal to metal contact (not paint to paint or metal to paint). It could also be a bulb filament that's busted, but tapping brings it back into contact and lights up. Not likely, but it does happen.

JPNinPA Well-known member Feb 13, 2011 #5 Could be anything from the bulb, connection to the bulb, wiring or as above bad ground. I'd start withthe easiestly accessed and move into the bulb.
