95 YJ with 2.5 liter. When I bought the jeep a few weeks ago, I noticed that the gauge wasn't working. I just haven't bought a new sending unit yet. Today I noticed drops of oil when I pulled into the garage and a puddle under the jeep after sitting a few hours. Looks like oil is running down the sending unit.
Two questions.
1 - Are these things prone to blowing out like this?
2 - Are there certain brands that are better than others to replace it with?
I also saw that one of the previous owners has broken the plug that plugs into the sending unit is broken. Any ideas where to get a replacement plug without buying a whole wiring harness?
