Hi everyone, I am new to the group and look forward to all the available knowledge you guys have.
I have a significant oil leak and it is driving me nuts. I know jeeps leak etc.
Let me rewind to December 2013:
I had no leaks! Jeep was running decent only needed a tweaking on the timing(spark Knock) I took it in to have that done and he ended up replacing the distributor. The owner suggested a new carb would really help While at shop I decided to add a set of headers while he was working on it. Since this work has been done I now have a leak coming from distributor. They broke the distributor hold down clamp somehow and welded it back I thought this could be culprit and have replaced it.I have replaced the gasket where the dist. goes into block. No Luck! I noticed with inspection mirror that it is coming out of the hole on bottom side of distributor. I bought a new distributor and it is still leaking from same place. I have also replaced pcv valve. I have noticed some oil around my Carb. I have no smoking from exhaust. Only oil leaking like crazy from dist. Like I mentioned earlier I had no issue at all until he changed everything around. Could it be a vacuum line in wrong location? Any help?
