Missed you guys!

Hey guys, okay here is the story. I have this weird noise that seems to come from the right rear area of my jeep when I turn corners or go over a big bump. It is kind of a loud clunk. I can feel it also. Not quite sure what would cause this. I haven't gotten a chance to look underneath it yet since I live in an apartment and don't have easy access to a garage. The body lift wouldn't cause this would it??? :?: :?

It sounds like something is loose??? Maybe the leaf springs are going bad??? It's not a constant noise. Just sounds kind of like something is hitting something else?

a body lift could cause it if at body bolt is coming out... it could be a bushing, loose bolt anywhere in suspension/steering, basically gotta find out where it is coming from... have someone jump up and down as you listen for it

If all else fails, jack up the rear of the jeep, if there is any in/out motion in the rear tire, you got yourself a bent axle. This hapened to me a year ago, the axle was slightly bent, but it was just enough to produce a clunking noise around corners.

Could be something simple like a missing shock bushing - crawl under and do a visual inspection for the basics first. LBR

Same thing happened to my jeep last summer. Every time I turned a corner I heard a clunk coming from the rear of the jeep. Turned out to be a loose bolt on the rear trac bar. Every time I turned the trac bar would move a little causing the clunk sound.
