RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Signature pic requirements

03' TJ currently running 32x11.5 BFG's with 1" body lift and disconnects, happy with the results I've gotten from this setup no rubbing, etc. Always looking to get more clearance I bought this inexpensive 2" budget lift that includes 4 coil spacers and Shock extensions. My questions as stated in the subject line is should I buy new shocks or are these extensions good/safe enough to use? I'm looking to get the best of both worlds, good performance on the trail and on the road since this is my dd. Here's the kit I bought, http://www.rocky-road.com/jeepbudget.html

Also the install instructions aren't the greatest so if anyone has installed a similar kit-(extensions) and have pics or write-up if you can direct me to them.

I could really use the input, I'm planning on installing this thing tomorrow morning and like to have all my P's&Q's online before going ahead. Thanks again.

Those extensions are bar pin eliminators. They will allow you to re-use your factory shocks if you want to, but with the BPE's the stock shocks won't be too short.

They are fine if you are happy with the way the Jeep rides now. The ride won't change because the shocks and springs are the same.

The BPE's bolt to the factory shock mounts on the end that use a flat bar with two holes. Your shocks would then mount using a bolt through the eye instead. This means you'll have to remove the bar pin from the shock if you want to reuse them.

The bar pins are used on the bottom of the front shocks and the top of the rear shocks.:
