Hi all. Just got back into Jeeps after a year-long dry spell. My only previous Jeep was a 1998 TJ 4-cyl. with 5-speed manual, 31" tires on Cragar 15" rims. Had a lot of fun with it, but it sure wasn't high on performance. Plenty of trails up here in Michigan, so another Jeep was needed.
Just bought (this week) an '81 CJ7 with AMC 304, manual trans, mild lift, front winch, hard and soft tops, and, free of charge, plenty of spots of rust here and there. lol
Jeeps sell very quickly here in northern Michigan, but I like to think I was able to find what I wanted. I'm looking forward to fixing this up and having some fun with it on the trails and putting aroudn the farm and roads with it.
My father-in-law passed a couple years ago and he had, before I knew him, an '84 CJ7. This is going to end up being a tribute to him, complete with the color of his and all. Only bummer is I wasn't able to find an '84 around here, but the '81 will do.
