New guy needs some help

Can someone tell me what these cables are? I'm new to jeeps and pretty much all 4x4s. I picked this bugger up for cheap and want to get it rolling again however I'm finding it hard to learn/find the parts I need

I hope those aren’t parking brake cables. Where do they terminate at? Or are they just hanging? Hard to see but are they bare wire/cable?

looks like Jerry rigged parking brake/brake cables....I think that is the least of your worries if you haven't had a diff cap on that in a while.

what does the rest of the vehicle look like?

Rest is fine, there was a fire in the rear. I bought it after (the fire) the lines are e brake lines with the plastic melted off. The plug was out because the diff had just been rebuilt and I was letting the gasket set. Everything has been replaced and is back to norm.. Thanks for all of your combined wisdom lol you guys rock!!

Well what is inside the rear looks as rusted as the outside. Just an opinion.
