Hey guys my name is james and im new here im from ct ive had bmw's all my life now i sold my m3 and i wanna go to a jeep....good choice i think so im going to look at a 2003 jeep wrangler x tomorow 5 spd, 6 cyl, lifted 5 inches on 35's comes with half doors on the car its got 113k on it .... so my question to all of you jeepers what should i keep my eye on , look at and ask about .... thanks for all the input !!!

Make sure to look for rust. Also, ask if the axles have been regeared. When you put anything larger than a 33 inch tire on, the speed and accelleration of the Jeep will suffer - the way to fix this is to change out the gears in axles. Drive it on the interstate and see if you can get it up to a fast highway speed.

If it has carpet pull it back and look under it for rust.My half doors leak and the carpet was holding the water and rusted the floor.Something I found oout about 3 months after I bought mine.
