yep, same here. They should give a discount on D60's to us college students!!
Now, anyone who says a D44 won't hold up to lots of power, weight, and big tires has been smokin' way too much of somethin!! You just have to drive it like it has a 44 up front. With that being said, I could easily go get in my truck and completely destroy the front end if I wanted to. You just have to know when to use the skinny pedal, and when to ease up on it.
That does not mean you still can't have fun though. I even do some minor rockcrawling in my truck just for fun everyonce in a while. I also keep 3/4 ton joints on the front of the front driveline...so I'll blow those up before anything in the front end.
