lining the interior

i just bought a jeep and want to line the inside floor with something and i just wanted some opinions on what to use myself or to have someone do it for me.

I've covered my whole floor with Rhino Liner works great.

DIY: Herculiner, Al's Liner, Durabak
Proffessional: Stoneliner, Line-X, Rhino Liner, Scorpion Liner

These are just some; the most famous would be Rhino and X-Liner for the proffessional and probably the Herculiner for the DIY type...

If memory serves, they lasted about 3 years before beginning to peel off. Just remember, that it's all about the prep. You should get all rust out, then wipe it down with mineral spirits or the like.

I had Rhinoline done to my '84 CJ7 a couple years back. Then This summer I had Line-X done to my '79 CJ7. The products are quite different. Line-X is a harder material, with a finer textured pattern than Rhino. It doesn't stretch or give much & I suspect it adds a little more structural strength. In my two installs, the Line-X material sticks tighter - harder to peel off if you need to than Rhino. In my '79 Jeep I built a big sub-woofer and had the exterior covered with Line-x to match the rest of interior. Line-x can mix the material in colors to match your jeep color scheme...not sure if Rhino-line does that. Line-X is beginning to get a good business spraying the exterior of jeeps. iI think I like Line-X the best, though Rhino is easier on your skin when you're crawling around on it inside while working under dash, etc. I think both are good products. I have no experience with Durabak & other s you self-apply. You can take small items off your jeep to Line-x & they can spray them with precision...I took off my tube rocker sliders and had them spray them to match the interior. My local Line-x dealer has an empty Pepsi can on display - they coated the exterior & the interior ver neatly...pretty impressive...I don't think Rhino-Line applicators spray with that precision ...at least they didn't on my Jeep. Rhinloiner is rubberry, stretchy and has a coarser pattern on the surface which some people prefer. That's all I know.

Thanks i think ill go with the line x then i want something thats going to last a long time and hold up for that time.

If rhino is more rubbery, it is probably a better option for the tub, as it will not only line but also insulate (against noise and temperature)... Just my 2 cents...

I used Herculiner on my YJ. Loved it Lasted as long as I owned it.
