Hey folks

birthday is coming up thinking about a lift kit
I have 31" tires on my TJ now with stock jeep shocks and springs
what height and kit do any of you recommend?

Thanks

S

If you plan on keeping the 31"s then go with a 2.5" lift.If you have plans on bigger tires then what tires size you decide on would determine on the size of lift.

r u going to do a spring lift or a spacer lift either way u will need to look at shocks in that height range. then what kind of wheeling if any do u think u will b doin. Answering those questions should help others help u.

i bought a lift that was 4'', shocks and all hard where included, adjustable lower control arms that flex (piviot). i got it because i wanted lots of flex for the money i wanted to do rocks and hard trails. here's what (Jester) looks like before and after.

The main question is, how much money do you have now, and how big do you want to go? You should probably have a 2" lift with 31s. There are several ways to go, but the most common are:

2" spacer ($100 if you reuse your shocks, $300 if you get new shocks)
2.5" coil lift (about $400)
4" lift kit ($1000 and up)

abe is that ur transfercase hanging underneath?
.. i saw go 4" looks great and good amount of clearance, dont want to go small and regret it

Well dont hate me but I havent been offroad yet. I guess I am a poser and I just want my TJ to look a little less street wise. I was thinking 2" lift. Should I also lower the transfer case just for good measure. It mentions this in the budget boosts directions as a recommendation.

Thanks

you might be ok by getting cam bolts to adjust pinion angle try that first to see .if you still get vibes you may have to drop transfer case

yeah i do have a tranfercase drop... for now, untill i get a SYE kit. it will have to do till then
