License plate mount with aftermarket bumpers? (93yj)

So im new to the forums, new to jeeps also. Always wanted one finally found one at a good deal. Needed a little fixing tho but no big deal. Its a 93 wrangler i dont know if its an S or anything. Its has a soft top and bikini top, 30in groundhawg tires and rampage recovery bumpers front and rear. The photos is pretty much how i got the truck. It has both seats i just took them out to clean it and haven't put the passenger side back in yet.

My question is where do i mount the license plate at? All the ones ive looked at have it under the brake light but i have a gas cap there... So where is the stock place? Or a new place with this bumper? Aftermarket brackets?

Suggestions on good places to get parts for this jeep? In the near future id like to get a lift kit some replacement fender flares maybe some other stuff that i havnt thought of yet. Rims most likely since the tires right now rub a lil bit with the stock rims.

There is a bracket that you need to mount it over the gas cap/ under the brake light. This is stock on the YJ's. Nice looking Jeep

Here's mine, I made the mount for it but I think you can buy them.

I have a factory license plate mount that came off of my 95 YJ if you need one.

the stock license plate does fold down and it sucks. its hard to get the pump in when you want to put gas in.

don't put yours here though:

every time i go up something, the license plate scrapes the ground and gets all bent up.

i have to do that mod. its just not super high up the list of things i want to do.

even though thats a super useful mod

Thanks everyone that posted, got some more knowledge of my jeep that i didnt know thanks to you. Havnt figured out my plan to mount the plate yet. Just put the transmission back in yesterday now just just switch the windshield out then ill be to the task of registering it and mounting that plate. Im glade someone pointed out a place not to put it lol because thats what i was thinking of doing now i know thats a bad idea. I like the spare tire mount idea im just not sure how well it will do me around here with no lights on it. When i make my decision of placement ill post a picture of it. And probably some better pictures of my jeep as well since i really dont have any except with it slightly apart.

Some states require that you have a license plate light. If your tail lights are stock you'll find that the drivers side tail light has a clear lens on the bottom for just this purpose.

I just saw a Jeep with the spare tire tag mount and he had a LED light on it. We were on the highway and I got off before him so I don't know if he bought it that way or did it himself.

I am using two LEDs for my license plate light
