Leaf springs

I have a '81 jeep Cherokee Laredo and need to replace the leaf springs. I dont want to put out the $$$ for new ones. Im still trying to replace everything to stop and keep away the "death wobble". I have a few junk yards around. Does anyone know what other trucks would fit? Im hoping one with some meat will fit. Thanks for the info.

The Cherokee XJ wasn't built until '84, are you talking about the full-size Cherokee SJ?

SJ's have a leaf-spring front suspension and, as such, aren't prone to death wobble. You've got serious problems to have DW on a leaf spring rig. Might consider a full-length add-a-leaf if you want to put a little new lift into worn out spring packs. You can buy new or take a leaf out of donor spring packs, even if it means cutting of the spring eyes. Just get your tape measure and head to the junkyards.
