Tomorrow is the day my Jeep turns in to a machine!!! I'm doing everything that is in my signature. I was just think of adding one of the few things and trying to make myself afford it. If you had to choose one which would it be???
Belly up????
Winch????
High steering kit????[addsig]

With near the same set up on a 2002 TJ I would suggest the steering kit.
The armor plating on the underside can wait till you have the cash,
The wench (pun intended) is a fancy hood ordment can wait also.
Since your going to drive it more on the than off roading it your comfort and handling should come first. Armor plating next then the winch.
Make a list of what you want to do and look it over seeing what is needed in order.
Your bellie kit should also include a nice bit of plating around your steering box since that will be in the open and in an area of possable damage.

Depending on what axles you have, if you're going to be running 35's, I'd invest in some stronger axles before you break one.[addsig]

When you encounter a potential problem with your jeep, keep in mind the old adage..."you got to lick it before you stick it". [addsig]

How about a rear bumper w/ swing away tire carrier, d-rings, receiver hitch??? That 35" tire is going to be one heck of a strain on the door hinges. Depending on which one you go with...you can carry up to a 38" tire. The down side is that the whole setup will cost you around $600 new...there's always ebay. That is going to be one of my next investments...even my 33" puts a little strain on my door. [addsig]

i always let things break BEFORE i replace them... that way.. you know what you have to replace[addsig]

Got a pic of that "machine",

I bet she's "Pretty" ;-)

Good luck with your "mods",
wish I had the spare change.
That's quite an investment in your car.

Post a Picture when you can,,,
If you need help with that, let us know.[addsig]

Ya, I've seen a lot of guys with that exact same motto until they break something 200 miles out in the bush and have to leave their jeep for a day or two to get parts. When they get back, it's stripped of everything. I guess it all depends on where you plan on going and how far.[addsig]

Someone please tell me he isnt putting a arb air locker in the back w/ a D35 and 35s!!! I really hope you have a D44 either that or you like walking![addsig]

Does Sahara = Dana 44 Rear,

I'm not sure?

I think it was optional, could go either way.

I was joking about the chrome light bar ;-)

Don't think my winch is a fancy hood ornament, it's a M8274 that was made in '76, it's not too pretty but works great. To call it a fancy hood ornament sounds like you don't have one or the use for one :-O

The order you install those mods depends mostly on where and how you wheel. If many others you wheel with have winches, you can probably lower that on the priority list and hope they'll continue to throw you the cable when you need it. If you are hard on the steering, that may take priority over the belly-up. If you're already lifted, the belly-up can probably wait. Again, depends on where and how you wheel :-D [addsig]

I got an idea, for your next mod, how about a step ladder to let all ladies into the nasty machine you are constructing! Sounds like a great prodject you got there. keep us informed.

Can't wait to see your car.[addsig]

I would do the belly up first. That gives you 3 to 4 more inches of ground clearance or breakover clearance. Then I would get rid of that weak ass front axle and get like a ford 9 in. or something bigger and put your ARB in that. Then the ATLAS II(4.3:1). Then the winch, because they look cool! :-D [addsig]
