keyless remote

My son has a 2004 JGC Lareado. The remote just quit, just like that. He switched batteries from his 2nd remote , still didn't work, neither or them work. Is the next stop a Jeep dealer?

Try holding the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds and see if the door locks cycle. If it doesnt, there might be something else wrong with it.

That didn't work so it is now at the Jeep dealership. Hopefully he will leave with both arms and legs.

One remote was broke, the other needed to be programmed + the guy he bought the car off of offered to pay for the remote which was $45.00, and there wasn't a warranty or they chose to buy the car without one.
