Jeeping at the Moab classic car show

Well its 'T' minus 168 hours and the start clock has been holted...

The CV joint went out in my rear drive line today, since it has to be rebuilt or replaced I had to take it to a drive line shop, the prognosis isn't looking good, they put it on life support and called in a priest.
Will keep you all informed.

'T' minus 120 hours...day two without my beloved jeep.
Dear diary
Today I woke early in a cold sweat, I had the shakes so bad I didn't know what to do. First I thought I was getting sick, or already gotten sick and I was in my death throes. Then my dream came back to me, Or should I say nightmares, I watched my jeep die hundred of different ways last night. From roll overs to mechanical break downs that all ended up burning to death.
Gowd I need a life!
Just two days without my beloved jeep and I am already going into DT's.

Does this mean the driveline shop can't rebuild your driveline?

Don't know, since I am being cheap, and using my friends like cheap hookers, my jeeping/mechanic friend Scotty has a friend who owns a drive line place just south of my home. Since he has a lift I just drive the heap to his shop and left it. Gears is close on Saturday and just about everything in Utah is closed on Sunday (Church rule), I wont know the fate of the drive line till Monday.
We have sacrificed several old jeep parts in the garage to the jeep gods and offered and burnt a few drops of gear oil as well.

Pray with me my friends to the jeep gods, that the drive lines CV joint is rebuild-able.
On the bright side I finally got off my arse and registered the bike and took it on a 50 miler dust off ride, now I have a sun burned face and my arse is telling me that its unhappy about being abused like this again.

Well the jeep gods have smiled, I think it was burning the gear oil that helped.
179$ and the jeep drives again!
