Where do kids these days get the money to do all this stuff to their ricers anyway? I've had to struggle for every dollar, working since I was 16 and still can't afford everything I would like for my Jeep. Yet, I see 16 and 17 year old kids that have a tricked out $30,000 Acura with $15,000 more in accessories. Believe me, if they can afford that, they can afford coke, crack or whatever. I just hope they are obtaining it the legal way and that goes for anyone, not just ricers.
As far as the motorcycle discussion goes...I would like to someday own a Harley because that's my style. Laid back, cruisin down the interstate with a bunch of friends. Harleys were not built to race Honda CBR's and vice-versa. Putting them in the same category is ridiculous. But I'm not against anyone who would want to own a Katana or Ninja or whatever because that's their style. Just don't pull up next to me and my Harley and rev up the engine like you want to race and prove that your bike is faster, we all know already it is, and I'm not going to race you.
All in all, it's different strokes for different folks. But there's a mature way about it and an immature way about it. Personally, I can't stand the Civics with the coffee can muffler and 4 ft. wing on the back, but I tolerate it. Probably just as much as they tolerate sitting behind me at a red light, with nothing to stare at but a bumper and breathing my exhaust fumes.
