How to replace wheel stud

My question is how to replace 2 wheel studs that broke off my back 2 tires....I took off the rotor and e-brake and pushed out the broken one and I can't find enough space to put the new one in. Do I have to remove anything, and is it something that I can do or a repair shop. Thanks in advance...

I've never done it on a post 1967 vehicle, so I'm just guessing, but I would imagine that you may need to pull the shafts if there's nothing else you can remove to get access.

I have drums on the back of my TJ, but when I replaced 2 on the back, I believe I had to bend the backing plate slightly to get the new studs in. If I remember correctly, had to spin the hub around to just the right spot, but I didn't have to remove anything major.
