Hi.
How do I know the lift measure of a Jeep?
I have a CJ-7_81" and I need to replace the shocks but I don't know at what height was lifted.
Does anyone know how to measure that?

or

most CJ's had either flat springs or near flat, slightly arched.

also you can simply measure the shock length at ride height, take those measurments and simply call the manufacturer of a shock of your choice and they can get ou part numbers.

The way I have done it is to flex the jeep out as far as you can and get a measurement of the short and long and buy them according to those measurements.

Got the same plans to replace shocks on my '85 CJ7.

Maybe a dumb question;

How do you "measure the shock length"?
Dou you measure from 'eye to eye', or just the length of the 'big outer tube'?
