So I am wondering, how extreme can I get in my 06 unlimited with the stock tires and no mods. As far as mud goes, are the stock tires going to do ok or will I get stuck easier with them? I am not worried about climbing, I know what I can do there.

You've probably got AT's right? Those suck in mud....honestly. You can make it through some moderate mud with them, but you have to keep the RPM's really high to keep momentum. And if you do stop, you're screwed. I took mine wheeling in some really slimy redjaw mud out by the lake with the original AT's, and never had much problem, except that I didn't really ever have any control...if you can understand that. I had it wrapped out pretty high all the time, and the tires had to keep spinning just to go anywhere, so I never really could make any short turns or steer where I wanted to with any precision. After I got my mudders, it was a totally different story. I could go anywhere I wanted and follow any line through the mud I wanted at any speed. Notice how I was able to steer sharply around a log in the road here:

I was in a mix of mud and ice when I did that:

The best way to tell is to just go for it....make sure you have someone with you for recovery, or at least tell someone where you are going and have a cell phone with you in case you run into trouble....I almost always go wheeling alone, so long as it's just mudding, but I always have a cell phone with me just in case....never been stuck yet, but it's bound to happen.

Trial and error, my friend... trial and error.

Wheel with a friend, have tow straps and tow hooks. Getting stuck is half the fun sometimes.

You've probably got the GSA's. Also known as the "Get Stuck Anywhere". As long as you dont stop or get high centered you should be good.
