Figured I should say hey.
Drove my first 4X4 around the age of 15 or so, on a friend of our familys Jeep CJ5. Learned how to drive a stick on the beach before I got my permit. Then got my permit and was allowed to borrow the Jeep on occasion for beach rides or fishing. Years later used a 4x4 Suburu Station Wagon (yeah, I know, right? lol) to fish off the beach in NJ and MA. Got tired of not having enough room, and upgraded to a Toyota Landcruiser Wagon, I should add that I looked at a Jeep Cherokee, but the Yota had a bit more room. Got rid of the Landcruiser shortly after I moved to VA. Fast forward 17 years or so.
Met my fiance'e Jill, 5 years ago, she had a Jeep..... Now we have 4, plus two M416 Military Jeep trailers. Yes, I am a JEEP-A-HOLIC!
We are active members of The Lost Jeepers, Virginia 4 Wheel Drive and United Four Wheel Drive Associations.
I'd like to add that if you're not involved either through your club/group, or as an individual with United, you should be. Tellico is only the beginning of what's coming, it can get a whole lot worse. We need to be represented, and it carries more weight if we are all together, united as one voice.
Look forward to chatting with y'all.
Be well,
Richard
