I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.0 Liter Straight 6

I have been having knocking sounds in my engine under the head for about 2 weeks, and now all of a sudden the oil pressure gage is at 0 and not moving and the check gages light is on! Can anyone please tell me what this might be? My oil is fine just had it changed less then 2000 miles ago!

Any Help would be so much appreciated!

I wouldn't drive the Jeep until you get a handle on what's wrong.

Have you checked your oil level today? Perhaps the filter wasn't tightened all the way, etc.

Try pulling the error code by doing the following:

Turn the ignition key until the digital odometer displays, repeat three times in succession and then back to "On" (On/Off, On/Off, On/Off, On). At the fourth "On" the odometer will be replaced with codes. If no codes are present then "Done" will appear.

Write down the codes and post them here.

Check your oil. If the gauge is correct you have none and you could throw a rod if you continue to drive it.

Oil is fine no leaks just knocking in the head

If its knocking. Sounds like a bearing or oil pump went south.

Did the mechanic came back with bad news?
