help needed with blazer heater upgrade

I started this morning with the blazer heater upgrade. Removed the battery and tray, ready to go.

Only thing holding me up is, how do I remove the old blower motor? I cannot seem to figure out how to remove the heater housing that is keeping the fan and blower from coming out. Any help?

This is probably a dumb question, but for some reason I cannot figure it out.

HELP!!

Do U have Metal dash for 91 wrangler

Either 4 or 5 nuts inside the fire wall hold the houseing in place. The motor is mounted to the houseing. once you remove the houseing youwill get the picture. Unhook the control cables first and then it is a breeze. Tug

FINISHED!!!

Not as bad as it looked like it was going to be. Found a few more items my jeep needs.

Any one have a problem with the blazer blower pulling too much power from your battery? Turned mine on and the amp gauge went down to 10, normally stays up around the red.

Anyway, thanks for everyones help, it was the one nut behind the valve cover that was holding me up.

Thanks again,
Joel

Ok,, may not be the right thing, but I am tagging in on this post. After all that I have seen on the "Blazer heater upgrade", I am going to defrost my fingers and do it.. I have one question though. I have a '82 CJ-5 without air, there are two motors for the '73 Blazer that are available, one for air and one without. When I searched without air, I also got the same one that was listed for Blazers with air, also listed in the section of Blazers without air, but was labeled "heavy duty",, Would the HD one work as well as the non airconditoner one would? For with heat, in the winter, more is better..
Thanks
Thomas

Heavy Duty will not work the fan side is deeper and will not mount. It also mounts differant. I got the wrong one first and had to exchange it. Autozone Part # ends in 102. The low on the new motor is as high as the high on the old motor. It makes a huge differance.
