heater control valve

anyone able to tell me how to change a heater control valve on a 97 jeep cherokee laredo. my hoses look like they enter straight thru my firewall. I do not see any vac lines and my 2 hoses clamp onto a fitting in the fire wall. from inside I do not think i have any access either.

I think your looking at the heater coil. As far as the valve i don't have a clue. But i think your two hoses go into your heater core.
