Hard top question

I'm going to pick up a CJ7 hardtop that I am buying locally. The guy says he doesn't have any hardware for it.

Question #1: Can anybody tell me what I will need to bring to install it on my Jeep YJ? Can I use some of the bolts from my factory soft top hardware (rear body mounts)?

I'm aware of the tailgate issue, but right now it's not an issue because it doesn't have a liftgate - what do you want for $125! That brings me to...

Question #2: Will a factory YJ hardtop liftgate fit on a factory CJ7 hardtop?

wide track axles?

The liftgates are different sizes. You should bring along 8 bolts to secure the rear sides of the top to the tub. Don't worry about securing it at the top of the windshield if the back is secure.

Will the bolts securing my factory soft top hardware work? I'm thinking that they should

Front wheel drive YJ???

I don't know, I'm not home so I can't go out and check what's holding the softtop on.

Well thanks for the replies anyhow. I think I'll bring my DeWalt cordless & bits, some self-tappers (for the front) and 8 bolts from my soft top. I'll bring 4 c-clamps just in case. That ought to get me home!
