Handguns

TC, it's a 14. I have been trying to research how old it is but I am not having much luck. I went to the Ruger site and it didn't help much, they did say you can write them with specifics and they will tell you when it was manufactured. I do know they are getting harder to find.

$25 BSA laser? Hey if you can't hit 'em with a BB then you can always burn out their retinas with the laser

Actually, I think it cost about $12. Bought it one night this winter when me and one of my crewmembers were bored waiting for the snow to fall at 3am. It's kinda cool, because they used to run from me when they'd see me coming with the gun (I only shoot them when they're crapping in my garden), but now all I have to do is turn on the laser and they start chasing it. Makes it pretty easy to pop'em in the backside! It's pretty chincy, but it's accurate for a BB pistol. It's got a pressure switch that velcroes to the handgrip, right where my thumb lays. It's kinda cool, really.8)

You can call them with the serial number and they will tell you.

It looks like new.
I have a 14, wooden stock with a flash supressor I put on, I've been wanting a folding stock, they look tough.

Sorry 90, I thought TC posted that question. Where did you find the suppressor and was it easy to put on? It looks like this think has some very small threads right in front of the site so I was thinking maybe that's what they are for. Yeah, I want to put a suppressor on there before we any freakin laws get passed.

I bought the flash suppressor at Brownells
I used to get the catalogs, but haven't in awhile. Its like porn for gun guys:purple: :purple:

It was an easy install, pressed on over the barrel end. A few taps with a small hammer using a block of wood.

Went through another box of 50 today. Flawless operation.

Now I'm looking at holsters  Anybody use a Crossbreed? I think I might get on. My CC Permit should be done in 2 more weeks.

Just carry it in front of your waistband like Vincent Vega8)

For holsters, I use Bianci(sp) pancakes or cross draws that hook onto your belt on both sides and go over your shoulders.

I'm a big fan of strong side SOBs, during a draw it looks like you're going for your wallet instead of a weak side draw

Here is the newest additon to the family. I can't wait to shoot it.

That sweet! I love the Mini in stainless on a black butler creek folder
I matched mine with the 10/22 equipped the same but I added one of those 25$ BSA BB gun red dot sites....

I just makes the 22 fun to plink with.

But with this new ban bill you might want to think about buying them now if your interested
Both of these guns are pre 86 ban. During the ban a clean matched pair were going as high as 1500$.
Although the parts were still cheaper but it was against the law to "modify" your post ban weapons.
I have 10 of the 25 round Butler creek clips for the 10/22 with a sweet lips loader, that is what everyone was really interested in
I saw those clips going for as much as 175$ per clip...when you can buy them now for 22.95$ and pre 86 for 15$

I think I have decided on the Springfield XD 40 Sub Compact. I've got large hands and it was tough finding a pistol that felt comfortable yet is a nice small "carry" pistol.

The extended clip makes the handle fit me perfectly and holds 12 rounds (standard clip holds 9). The 3" barrel is kind of short still gets nice reviews.

What'chall think?:

It comes with the short and long clips, a holster, a speed loader, and some other extra I can't remember what, exactly. Seems priced about average for a decent .40

I just gor the sub compact you mentioned here into the shop this week and I love it wish My wife would buy it for me but I guess I will have to sae up for a time. Butt I do agree this is a very nice all around Personal carry gun.

It's a little too thick for me to carry under just a T shirt in the summer, but the other 3 seasons it's great. As for a shooter, I put about 1500 rounds through mine and it was flawless and accurate. Great gun

Hey by the way, I was at the range the other day and let a guy try my Springfield EMP 1911, he then let me shoot his .500 S&W revolver. It was the shorter one (not the snubby, but shorter then the largest one). DAMN what a hoot! Talk about a cannon :bomb:

My hands hurt pretty bad after 4 rounds I almost didn't bother with that last shot, but not wanting to look like a sissy I did, but it was way off as I was anticipating recoil badly

Just thought I'd mention that as you said you had one. It made me think of ya ;)

MAn the muzzle flash on that monster was HUGE!
