I see Civic clubs, Boy Scouts, and other orginizations like that picking up trash on the road side to keep Arkansas Beautiful...Thats Great!!
But what I saw today took my by suprise...A group of inmates picking up trash on the roadside...No big deal right? Kinda glad to see it....
What shocked me was a sheriff vehicle behind them pulling a trailer with a Porta-Potty!!
Hell, if the Boy Scouts can clean up without a porta potty I believe the inmates should be able to do it too......
I tried to get a picture but I dont think the deputy wanted me too......

Scouts likely do it in shifts of no more than 2 hours or so. Plenty of adult leaders or parents to take them on a bathroom break.
Inmates likely are there for the day and not as many vehicles to take them somewhere their openly welcomed. Just think of being in Mc's or Kiings and see an inmate shuffled into the bathroom. Plus think of how many breaks they would ask for. So I could see the port a Jon.

Not that I don't see where you are coming from. Albet more $$ is spent on inmates than on the poor and homeless.

Not sure who is coddled more, the Inmates by the ACLU or the Deputies by their Unions and Spineless County Board of Supervisors/Governors/Townsmens.

My thoughts exactly. Inmates have it better then the people paying the taxes to feed and house them.

I think that contributes to repeat offenders who have been in jail for a long time. Jail isn't freedom, but it is predictable. Hard to make it on the outside if you've only known the inside.
