Front Track bar

I put a 3" lift on my 87 YJ wrangler. I have leaf springs. I put the dissconnects for the swabar, but still don't the travel from the front end that I thought I would. Can I remove the track bar and if so what is the pros and cons of removing it :?: Thank you for you help.

are you disconecting the sway bar?

Leaf sprins are not super flexy compared to coils and air shocks and coil overs, but you should get a couple inches out of them.

and yes, take the trac bar off, it is pointless anyways.

Also, make sure you didn't over torque your shackle bolts, they can sieze up and not allow the shackle to swing

Yes I'm dissconecting the track bar, and no I didn't over torque the shackle bolts. Thank you for the info. This is a great sight, love it

Get rid of the track bar; I wasted money on a telescopic one, but there is really no need for it... Also, the torque specs for the shackles can be brought WAAAAAAY down for a softer ride if you swap the buts to nylock nuts...
